Why Start Early

Confidence That Carries Into School

Dance builds fundamental motor skills, balance and coordination, and it plants early habits of focus, respect and listening that carry into preschool and kindergarten. Our teachers keep every activity age-appropriate and every dancer encouraged, so the studio quickly becomes a happy, familiar place.

Tuition is all-inclusive and starts at $80 a month, so the recital costume, dress rehearsal and recital participation are already covered.

Questions

Preschool Dance FAQ

What age can my child start?

Our Early Childhood classes start at age 3, and dancers need to be potty trained. No experience is needed.

What should my preschooler wear?

Form-fitting clothes such as a leotard and tights, a tutu or skirt, leggings, shorts or a fitted tee, plus ballet shoes. Dresses are fine over shorts or a leotard. Hair pulled back and away from the face. Shoes are included in your tuition for most classes and will be ordered at the start of the season.

Can I watch my child's class?

Parents are welcome to watch their dancer's class on our lobby monitors, which provide a live view of each studio. To maintain a focused learning environment, parents are not permitted inside the dance studios during classes, with the exception of our designated parent-and-me classes.

Will my preschooler be in the recital?

Yes. Tiny classes perform in our May recital, and the costume, dress rehearsal and recital participation are included in tuition.

How can I help my dancer at home?

Show enthusiasm, let them practice the songs and simple steps they love, keep a consistent class routine and celebrate their progress. Those small things grow confidence fast.
